“Seeking to recognize all Montanans who have made notable Western heritage contribution” 

It is time to begin the 2013 MCHF & WHC Hall of Fame Inductee nominations. An unlimited number of nominations may be submitted from each district of which one living inductee and two legacy (nonliving) inductees will be chosen from votes cast by the MCHF & WHC Trustees. In the case of a tie, the nominees winning will represent that category in that district respectively. Nominations that were not chosen in the years 2011 or 2012 may be resubmitted by contacting the MCHF & WHC office. 

Nomination Policy for Induction into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame & Western Heritage Center 

From the total nominations submitted into each of the twelve (12) districts, the Trustees will vote for one (1) Living Inductee and two (2) Legacy Inductees that will represent their district for the year 2013. 

A) Each nomination must include a cover letter containing: 

1. Name or title (Teddy Blue Abbott, Point Hotel, etc.), area/town from which nominated 

2. Name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address of the person submitting the nomination. 

3. Contact person: Inductee, next of kin or organization to accept the Induction Certificate. 

B) Each nomination must include the following: 

1. An original document with name of Inductee, not to exceed two (2) pages in #12 font submitted on white paper, numbered and paper clipped. (Do not fold or staple). 

i. The document should pertain to the nominee only (No side stories at length about brothers, sisters, friends or other relatives). 

ii. A computer generated document sent by email and/or a CD copy of the document in Microsoft Word format is preferred. 

iii. If you use written or published material to compile a nomination the sources must be listed at the end of the document. 

2. A copy ready photograph if available. 

All documents must be postmarked by February 22, 2013 and mailed or submitted to the MCHF & WHC at 218 Third Ave So Suite C Wolf Point, MT 59201. 

Certified ballots will be prepared and mailed to the MCHF & WHC Trustees for voting. 

A press release announcing the 2013 Inductees will be issued to all MCHF & WHC media outlets by May 15, 2013. 

Some contributors may want assistance in preparing their nomination entries once they have gathered their nominee’s biographical information.
