2014 Hall of Fame Nominations
Your 2014 guide to nominating a candidate into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame.
“Seeking all Montanans who have made notable western heritage contribution”
It is time to begin the 2014 MCHF & WHC Hall of Fame Inductee nominations. An unlimited number of nominations may be submitted from each district. From the nominees of each district, one living inductee and two legacy (nonliving) inductees will be chosen from votes cast by the MCHF & WHC Trustees. In the case of a tie, winning nominees will be jointly inducted. Nominations made in 2012 and 2013 that were not elected for induction may be resubmitted by contacting the MCHF & WHC office at (406) 653-3800.
Nomination Policy for Induction into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame & Western Heritage Center
From the total nominations submitted into each of the twelve (12) districts, the Trustees will vote for one (1) Living Inductee and two (2) Legacy Inductees who will represent their district for the year 2014.
A) Each nomination must include a cover letter containing:
1. Name or title (Teddy Blue Abbott, Point Hotel, etc.), of the nominee, and residence (area/town/county) from
2. Name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address of the person submitting the nomination.
3. Complete contact information of person (Inductee, next of kin or organization representative) who will accept the induction
B) Each nomination must include contact with the MCHF & WHC at email@example.com
All documents are required to be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by February 28, 2014, or, physically mailed to the MCHF & WHC at PO Box 1569, Big Timber, MT 59011 postmarked by February 28, 2014.
Certified ballots will be prepared and mailed to the MCHF & WHC Trustees by April 18, 2014, for voting.
A press release announcing the 2014 Inductees will be issued by May 30, 2014.
